• Fichtenwelt on the Rosenalm: Here on the Rosenalm, the imposing Fichten Castle and the cool Fichtensee merge as one, offering visitors variety, fun, and a dose of action. But there’s no shortage of relaxation either. Even those seeking rest who “just” want to marvel at the stunning mountain panorama will find the Fichtenwelt the perfect place. But RIEDEL means much more to you: The RIEDEL Manufactory & Museum awaits you in Kufstein. • Take the Krimml Waterfalls, for example. They are Europe’s largest waterfalls—the water plunges 380 meters into the abyss here. A 4-kilometer trail leads visitors past several viewing platforms and lookouts, bringing them very close to the waterfalls. Don’t worry: The trail is well-paved and is continuously maintained. • Zillertal High Road: Built in 1963, this road offers countless opportunities to enjoy panoramic views of the Zillertal Alps. The 50-kilometer-long Alpine road, at an elevation of 2,020 meters, winds through five municipalities and was originally used by farmers to make it easier to tend their alpine pastures. Today, among other things, it serves as a viewing platform and scenic route for visitors to Tyrol. Whether by car, public bus, or even bicycle, the road is wonderfully accessible and offers unparalleled views of the Tyrolean landscape.
• Your Dome in Schwaz: The Your Dome in Schwaz is more than just a planetarium. In 2001, the existing planetarium moved into a newly constructed building, where visitors were introduced to the stars and outer space through a 360° video system and precision instruments. In 2015, the idea was born to transform the planetarium into a true interactive dome with a 360° dome. This would allow for the combination of immersive experiences and educational content. Since 2023, the new dome has been offering unforgettable experiences for visitors of all ages. Here, visitors can experience alien worlds up close and immerse themselves in unknown realms of sound and imagery. It’s worth a visit - and not just on rainy days!
• Schlegeis Alpine Road: Starting from the idyllic mountaineering village of Ginzling, the Schlegeis Alpine Road winds its way for 13 km through the Zillertal Alps. Its destination: the emerald-green Schlegeis Reservoir at 1,800 meters. A 131-meter-high dam surrounds the reservoir - it’s a wonderful place for hiking, relaxing, and rock climbing! Families and older visitors can take a leisurely stroll around the lake, hiking enthusiasts can explore the diverse trails in the area, and adventure seekers can enjoy the #Schlegeis131 activities. Here, a 600-meter-long zip line makes the dream of flying come true for the brave. If you want to learn more, join a guided tour inside the dam and let knowledgeable guides reveal its secrets to you.
• Spannagel Cave: It is the only marble cave in the Central Alps and a particularly popular destination for families with children. The cave is about 13 km long and offers plenty to discover: soccer-ball-sized boulders, unique marble formations, glacial mills, and spectacular rock formations. Before the tour, you’ll be professionally outfitted and provided with protective gear: a helmet, a protective jacket, and, if needed, rubber boots. For families and visitors who don’t need quite so much action, the “standard” guided tour of the show cave is a great option. If you’re looking for a bit more action or are a true adrenaline junkie, there’s also the option to experience an easy trekking tour without climbing or even one that includes a via ferrata.
• Natural Ice Palace on the Hintertux Glacier: Be sure to dress warmly for this family-friendly destination. Take Glacier Bus 3 to the parking lot. From there, it’s a 10-minute walk to your destination. The Natural Ice Palace is located 30 meters below the ski slope, where visitors can experience a fascinating glacial world. Giant icicles, mysterious tunnels, and bizarre ice formations make you feel as if you’re in a completely different world. You can top off your day by taking a boat tour of the glacial lake. Special activities, such as a scientific tour or stand-up paddleboarding on the glacial lake, can be booked in advance. The Ice Palace is currently open year-round and accessible to visitors, as it maintains a constant temperature of 0°C.
   

Tyrol is exciting:

• Schwaz Silver Mine: It’s not called the “Mother of Mines” for nothing—the mine in Schwaz is the largest silver mine of the Middle Ages. Around 10,000 miners searched for and found silver and copper here. This made Schwaz the mining capital of the world! Now we can tour these historic tunnels and get a sense of times gone by!
• Swarovski Crystal Worlds: A place of wonder awaits you in Wattens: art, light, and crystal merge into a sparkling world. To mark Swarovski’s 100th anniversary, multimedia artist André Heller designed this spectacle, which you enter through a giant head.
• Innsbruck, the provincial capital: Just under 1 hour and 10 minutes away, the capital lies nestled among the majestic mountains. It’s a wonderful place to stroll, shop, and visit the charming little cafés—all while taking in the breathtaking mountain panorama!
• Hall in Tirol: After a little over an hour, you’ll reach the town of Hall in Tirol. Although it’s significantly smaller than Innsbruck, it’s every bit as beautiful and diverse!
• Kufstein: An impressive funicular, the historic fortress, and a charming old town make Kufstein a popular destination for young and old alike. Just under an hour’s drive.
   

Tyrol is all about nature:

• Zillertal Alps High Mountain Nature Park: Named “Nature Park of the Year” in 2015, this park stretches from Ginzling to the Hochfeiler and covers 422 square kilometers. This means the nature park encompasses a good 40% of the Zillertal. Pure nature as far as the eye can see - and an unparalleled diversity of species! • Ebbs Zoo near Kufstein: A privately operated zoo at the foot of the Zahmer Kaiser. Here, you’ll find 500 animals representing some 70 different species. Monkeys, kangaroos, and turtles - as well as native species like otters, geese, and vultures - all call this place home.
